It is that time of year when we take holidays, vacations or just plan a few days away from work to recharge the batteries.
?Gone Fishing? is a typical phrase we use when we?re out of the office. We all know that taking a rest is an important part of a healthy wellness plan.
What do you do when you just can?t commit to ?going away? on holiday?
I think its important to remember that all we need to do is take a break from our usual routine. Here are a few suggestions on how you can treat yourself when you leave the office but can?t leave town:
Sleep in; don?t use the alarm clock
Walk, bike or hike
Picnic
Visit the beach
Have dinner at your favourite restaurant
Visit with family or friends
Go to the movies or drive-in
Enjoy your hobby
It doesn?t matter what you choose to do as long as you find it relaxing and rejuvenating.
So enjoy the summer, take a break and have FUN!
After all we?ve been waiting for the summer all year!
